- THE SLITTING LINE OPERATES AS FOLLOWS:
- The metal coil is mounted on the decoiler, after which the strip is fed into the cutting zone. Disc knives slit the metal lengthwise into strips of the required width.
- Different strip sag is compensated by a special pit, which ensures stable material tension and accuracy of the subsequent rewinding process. After slitting, the finished strips are fed to the recoiler and formed into separate coils.
- This type of line is suitable for fast and precise processing of coil metal when it is necessary to obtain several strips of different or identical widths from one large coil.
